This multifunctional playground climber combines several activities in one structure. One side features a climbing net made of 16 mm thick, vandal-resistant, steel-reinforced rope, while the opposite side has a traditional ladder climber. At each end, children can enjoy either a rope ladder or a knotted climbing rope with plastic climbing knobs.
The equipment is recommended for children aged 3–14 years.
The product complies with MSZ EN 1176-1:2018 standards and comes with playground compliance certification.
Materials and structural design:
- Support legs: Bent sheet carbon steel with powder coating, fixed to the wooden frame. A buffer prevents direct ground contact, protecting the wood from rot. Attached with a minimum of four long steel bolts. Primed and powder-coated using the most modern, eco-friendly corrosion protection method.
- Wooden parts: Laminated pine beams of visible quality, technically dried and finger-jointed. Weak points and visual defects are removed. Meets DIN EN 14080:2013 standards, strength class GL24h. Boards are AB quality, free from loose or black knots. Surfaces are planed, sanded, splinter-free, and rounded. Treated with eco-friendly, weather- and UV-resistant water-based stain in two layers, plus a natural antifungal agent.
- Rope components: Vandal-resistant, twisted steel-reinforced ropes with polyethylene coating, UV-resistant. Joints secured with pressed plastic nodes and aluminum sleeves.
- Climbing rope: 16 mm steel-reinforced UV-stable rope with plastic climbing knobs, screw-fixed. Climbing knobs made of reinforced plastic.
- Rope ladder: 16 mm steel-reinforced UV-stable rope with reinforced, metal-reinforced rungs, screw-fixed. The top ends of both the rope ladder and climbing rope are attached to the wooden frame with M10 threaded rods and crimped aluminum sleeves, while the bottom ends are anchored to the ground with ground spirals.
Installation:
The equipment is anchored by concreting the powder-coated steel support legs. When preparing the concrete foundation, ensure that it finishes at least 20 cm below ground level. After the concrete has cured (minimum 10–15 days depending on weather), the equipment can be safely used.
