Materials and construction:
The support legs are made of bent, powder-coated carbon steel plates, fixed to the wooden structure with bumpers to prevent direct contact with the ground and thus protect the wood from rot. They are attached to the wooden posts with at least 4 long steel screws. The steel is primed and powder-coated — the most modern, environmentally friendly surface treatment for corrosion protection.
Wooden parts: Laminated pine beams of visible quality. Technically dried, finger-jointed laminated pine, free of defects that reduce strength or visual appeal. By removing weak points and using laminated construction, the beams comply with DIN EN 14080:2013, strength grade GL24h. No loose or black knots. All sides are planed, sanded, splinter-free, and have rounded edges.
The surface treatment is environmentally friendly, providing strong resistance to weather conditions. UV-resistant, treated with two layers of water-based thick glaze and a natural fungicidal agent.
The swing seats are made with aluminium inserts covered by flexible rubber, making the surface warm to the touch and minimizing the risk of injury to other children while swinging. The suspension chain is made of electro-galvanized steel with a material thickness of 5 mm. The chain links are designed so that children’s hands cannot get pinched while swinging.
The swing hangers’ metal parts are fully galvanized to prevent rusting. By greasing the plastic sliding insert, smooth swinging is ensured with minimal maintenance.
Vandal-resistant design, requires special tools for disassembly.
Installation:
The swing is secured by concreting the powder-coated steel support legs. During concreting, care must be taken to finish the concrete block at least 20 cm below ground level. After the concrete has hardened (curing time at least 10–15 days, depending on weather), the play equipment can be safely used.
