The Marimba ‘Maxi’ is an improved version of the Marimba ‘Mini’, designed for two players to use simultaneously. Accordingly, the instrument comes with two rubber mallets, allowing a duet to create melodies together. Its structural design ensures that two players can comfortably stand side by side while playing this playground instrument. Playground instruments invite everyone regardless of age, and for music lovers, it can be especially exciting to play such an instrument outdoors. We recommend it for schoolyards, music and art schools, and public spaces. The Marimba ‘Maxi’ belongs to the percussion family. It consists of metal tubes that produce soft and harmonious sounds. The playing technique is very simple: strike the middle part of the tubes in any rhythm to create tones, and by combining them, form a melody with the different pitches of the tubes.

Materials and construction: Powder-coated steel support posts, HDPE plastic panels and mallets, powder-coated aluminum tubes.

Installation: The instrument should be installed with concrete foundations in loose soil. When preparing the concrete base, ensure that the installation ends at least 40 cm below ground level. After the concrete has fully set (curing time at least 10–15 days depending on weather), the instrument can be safely used. On existing concrete or other hard surfaces, installation with flat anchors is recommended.
